YWCA Event Planning Committee Meeting Tuesday, 06.03.08
Colors for the event:
· Chocolate, lime and fushia.
Advertisements and promotions:
· Press release going out this afternoon
· Strictly business ad
· Ask businesses to sponsor tickets for their employees
· Distribute flyers downtown at the following locations:
o The Mill, Scooters, Oso Burrito, The Roost, UNL Campus
· Stefanie will e-mail sororities and fraternities to invite their members
· Invite your personal friends
· The list of vendors will be added to the webpage, facebook, and our blog.
Items to specify with your vendors:
· They will need to provide ice
· 1 ounce of liquor or less per drink
· Skyy Vodka will be the sponsor
· They can arrive at 4:30 to set up
· They need to provide utensils, mixers, fruit, sugar for the rim, etc. for their drinks
· Recommend 1-2 bartenders per vendor
· Hot and cold appetizers will be served
· Ask them to e-mail you their logo file if they can; send it to Ann
We will be providing bottled water at the event.
Amanda will send Stefanie a CD of YWCA pictures, logos, etc.

Stefanie will make a PowerPoint presentation that will run on a loop throughout the event
· The YWCA has a projector and screen
The punch cards are being designed. They will wait to make the final product until they have all of our vendor’s and donor’s logos and drink information.
Ann has purchased the drink ware.
· 900 plastic (but classy) martini glasses
· Committee members can meet at the Grand Manse at 4:00 p.m. the day of the event to help assemble the glasses if they are able to.
Our next meeting will be Tuesday, June 17th at 11:30 a.m. at the YWCA.
· We will take a tour of the facility and take care of any last-minute details

Talk about good timing!
Just contacted my friend at the radio station and she said she was just going to do an overhaul of the calendar early tomorrow morning and not again till 2 weeks from now!
She's only got around 10 seconds to talk about an event so just sent her basics (below). Would have sent a draft for you to approve, Ann, but she literally gets there @ 4am and she needed details no later than 8am. --Later, Steph

What: Martini Party fundraiser, featuring signature martinis from 6 local hotspots, including Grata, Doc's, Venue, Starlite Lounge, Libations Too, and Dish

Why: Shake Things Up with the YWCA and support projects that empower local families
