Hi Everyone,
Couple things: Stefanie, please add Lazlo's/Fireworks to the sponsor sheet for a $25.00 gift card gift away. I didn't want to write it down until they confirmed. Also, great news - my liquor contact got back to me and thinks this would be a good opportunity to market a new Skyy Fruit Infused Vodka and he also likes the female target market. They would have to be the exclusive wholesaler/provider for the event and they can provide each of the six vendors with Skyy recipes.
I'll keep you posted and everyone keep your fingers crossed!

It’s great that the liquor company wants to participate, but I thought we were asking vendors to offer their own signature drink, not the liquor company’s. For what it is worth, I don’t like the idea of a liquor company using it as an exclusive advertising event for one type of alcohol. I don’t think that’s what we were going for and I don’t think the vendors I spoke to want to be told what drink to make. Those are my two cents. I’d have to talk to them again about participating if this is the direction the committee wants to take. Just let me know.

I completely understand your perspective and yes this would change the original concept a bit. Please know that this is all still in the early stages of thought and planning. They have requested the list of the 6 vendors, who are likely already their accounts and have established relationships with these bars and restaurants. The Lincoln Territory Rep would assist and facilitate and these vendors could try a new product for free and still promote their businesses through signage/menus, etc.
RNDC is the largest wholesaler in NE and like a business are always looking for ways to promote. I think we can be honest and tell the vendors (if we choose to go this route) this was our option for getting alcohol donated.

Good morning!
Well, after thinking about this last night I am hoping that we can work out a compromise. What would you think about telling our vendors that the liquor that we have donated from the wholesaler is this specific brand and we would like them to use that but let them come up with their own recipe. Perhaps many of these vendors already use this brand or could quickly spin off a drink from it? This is just a thought and I do realize that this is a different take on what we originally proposed so I am open for further discussion or thoughts. Let me know what you all are thinking, we could still try and get the liquor donated from somewhere else but this is a really good opportunity to be assured that we have it donated. I look forward to your thoughts. Thanks again for all you have been doing to make this event a success. Also, I submitted the changes we talked about yesterday for the pdf and hope to have it back today.
Thanks,
Ann

In my formal request, I asked if it would be ok for the vendors to sub the Skyy for what they would normally use, if they didn't want to use the Skyy recipes.

Sounds like a good compromise idea to me. I’d just want to make sure the vendors are okay with it since they are getting publicity too, and, I assume, would want some control over it via the drinks they are serving. Hopefully, it won’t matter to e vendors.

Hi Everyone,
The Sales Manager for Lincoln and I are going to talk early next week. Basically, their reps are going to touch base with our vendors/their accounts to discuss which of the Skyy Fruit Infusion Vodkas they want to use for their recipe. Therefore, we don't need to contact the vendors to find out which drink they are featuring yet.
We also have a new sponsor on board. The new Americcinn South located off 84th and Hwy 2 is donating a room for a giveaway.
Have a great weekend!
Jill
